After more than 20 years as a Registered Nurse caring for older adults in nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, case management, and leadership roles, I began to notice the same problem over and over again: many seniors simply could not get the foot care they needed.
Something as routine as a podiatry appointment can become a major challenge for an older adult. Coordinating transportation, getting safely in and out of a car, managing walkers or wheelchairs, waiting in crowded offices, and attending multiple medical appointments can be exhausting; and for some people, nearly impossible.
This became especially personal for me while helping my elderly mother-in-law. Watching her struggle with the physical effort it took just to attend appointments opened my eyes even more to what so many families experience every day. Even when someone wants care, the process of getting there can feel overwhelming.
At the same time, I saw how closely foot health is connected to overall health, comfort, mobility, and independence. Painful nails, calluses, poor circulation, diabetic foot concerns, and improperly fitting shoes can affect balance, walking, confidence, and quality of life. Small problems can quickly become larger ones when they go untreated.
I created Palm Beach Foot Care because I wanted to bring compassionate, medically-based foot care directly to the people who need it most, in the comfort and safety of their own home or senior community.
My goal is simple: make professional foot care more accessible, more comfortable, and less stressful for seniors and vulnerable individuals. I believe preventive foot care is not just about feet. It is about helping people stay mobile, maintain independence, reduce fall risk, and continue enjoying daily life with dignity and comfort.
Every visit is centered around patience, kindness, education, and individualized care. I understand the unique challenges many older adults face, and I am passionate about providing a service that truly makes life a little easier for both patients and their families.
Thank you for trusting Palm Beach Foot Care. It is an honor to care for our community, one step at a time.
